Ieda x Daniel
This shoot took a different approach than normal. In most instances of my shooting, I will rely on an individual subject or if there are multiples, they are both woman and woman. In this particular scenario I utilized the talents of Ieda Favo and Daniel Jones. Daniel introduced the team to Ieda who was fairly new to the country. Coming from Brazil, she had not been here too long, but was pursuing her career in modeling. Little did we know that she would become an almost honorary member to our creative family.
Thanks again for that introduction Daniel! Needless to say, the shoot ran very smoothly. Because we had previously worked with Daniel on a cover shoot, it made it very simple to approach this with a level of familiarity. Due to Ms. Favo finding it easy to transition into our shoot, it made the entire day a seamless turn of events. For the majority of our session, we shot the two of them separately, playing around with varying colors and intensity. Ieda was very open to using various space for jumping and motion and we captured a few deep perspective shots with Daniel for variety.
Selections
For the Ieda x Daniel selection process we made it a point to focus on the mood. Our colors and lighting choices tell a story. A story in which two creative individuals within the love of their careers, would find one another. Each following shot was one meant to focus on the interacting facial expressions and protective nature of the relationship. The initial blue/red/orange tones were meant to give way to Ieda’s passion. Daniel’s deep green and purple tones were there to express strength and intensity in a mellow way. As a result, each of these elements came together perfectly.
